Steve Morgan
About Me:
Steve Morgan is a veteran of the Broadway shows "Mamma Mia" and "Good Vibrations" and has been a featured soloist with numerous orchestras across the globe. He soloed with the Cincinnati Pops under the direction of Erich Kunzel on the Disney album "Magical Musicals", on the PBS special "Patriotic Broadway" with Tom Wopat and John Schneider (aka, The Duke Brothers!), and at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. A native of Evansville, IN, he now calls Cincinnati home with his wife and two children. Voice Part: Tenor I
I am a bit of a gym rat, and it's a good thing, because I love to cook AND eat. So if I didn't work out a lot, I'd probably be as big as... well, me in high school. I love playing pretty much any recreational sport, singing, and spending every day making sure that my kids are happy, confident, and comfortable in the knowledge that they are loved.

Twitter Name:
Yeah, I am hoping that someone will help me with this. I'm not a Twitter guy yet, but I've a feeling that peer pressure will have me on there in short order. UPDATE: Follow Steve @SNCsteve on Twitter :)
Birth Name:
Steven Frederick Morgan (after my two uncles)
Stevo, Small, Boze
Birth Sign:
Currently Living In:
Cincinnati, OH
Evansville, IN
Relationship Status:
Married with children
Singing high? There's a lot of humor expected out of the guy who replaces Ryan, I know, but on stage is one of my favorite places to be, and I promise you will know it when I'm up there.
Favorite SNC College Memory:
Personally, it never got better than taking our sound to other campuses. The onslaught of people who would clamor to see us after a set and have a 19-year-old sign their CD was awesome, flattering, and humbling. We put in a ton of time practicing during our college years and held ourselves to a very high standard, but times like that made it all worthwhile.
Musical Influences:
So many, I just like good music! The things I find myself playing most regularly are Harry Connick, Jr., Jamie Cullum, Gabe Dixon, The Temper Trap's first album, Coldplay, Amos Lee. That's not a comprehensive list by any means, but I guess it's some indication of where my head is.
Favorite Songs to Perform Live:
Hi-De-Ho! I could bore you with other songs that we did in college, but there are a LOT of songs I am looking forward to getting my hands on that the group has added since I left in 2008.
Favorite Place You've Traveled:
My wife and I talk about this all of the time, because I worked on a cruise ship in Europe and saw 20 countries in 6 months. So here goes, in no particular order: Florence, Italy; Vienna, Austria; Montreal, Canada; Bergen, Norway; Copenhagen, Denmark
What Magazines/Periodicals do you read consistently?:
I read the Wall Street Journal online and Fortune by mail, but whenever I get the chance, I still love SI, ESPN the Magazine, and Entertainment Weekly. Throw in a liitle Gourmet magazine and I'm good. Just so long as there are no paparazzi photos...
Name Your Top 5 Favorite Foods:
) Another tough one for an amateur foodie, but here goes: Baby lamb chops, Low Country Boil, Frutti di Mare fra diavolo, Jambalaya, and for #5, anything Indian, Thai, Ethiopian, Mexican... yeah, I'm not the world's pickiest eater...
Name Your Top 5 Favorite Books:
The Brothers K, Team of Rivals, Funny Men. I'm all across the board here, but I do love biographies and historical recountings, fictional or otherwise.
Name Your Top 5 Favorite Movies:
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Rear Window, Lincoln (OK, so I just saw it yesterday, but Daniel Day-Lewis was amazing!), Mary Poppins
Name Your Top 5 Favorite Songs:
I agree with most everyone else on this one, there are just too many and it totally depends on what I feel like at the time. But the lyrics to which I often return are from Jamie Cullum's song "Photograph": "When I look back on my ordinary, ordinary life. I see so much magic, though I missed it at the time." Eloquent simplicity - I love it.

Ok...I am reaching out here...pretty unusual but here goes...My daughter and I will be attending in Durham NC on 11/24. She and I have had an estranged relationship for a while. When her mom and I separated she said I was a big disappointment because we never had daddy-daughter dates...She LOVES you guys. She was an all state vocalist and has always loved to sing. I am so proud of her...anyways, THIS is our Daddy Daughter date. I am so hopeful she will want me to be a part of her life again, that she will want to see me, talk to me and be proud of her Daddy...So..I guess this is a request to sing " The Living Years" on that night. I want...I need her to understand she won't have me forever and one day I will be gone. We are losing every second, every day, every year. I love my daughter so much and it just breaks my heart...I guess I feel this is my chance to make it right. You guys are awesome, I hope you see this, and you touch so many people with your music. I hope you reach out and touch my Daughter. Thank you so much.

Hi, new old member! :D I have to say that I appreciated the Mary Poppins on your movie list. Is that courtesy of the kids or you? :P anyway, I know taking Ryan's place seems daunting, but you'll win over the new Chasers (like me) in no time! Enjoy going through that stack of music they handed you on day one. God bless.

I'm afraid the cuisine is beyond my experience, but Rear Window - yes! Good choice.

Wow! I'm shocked! SNC never fails to amaze me! Steve, I've seen you on my 1998 SNC Live at the MAC DVD, so I think you're the best guy to take Ryan's spot! I look forward to hearing and seeing you LIVE in concert, since you'd left by the time I first saw SNC in 2009! I was SO disappointed! I'm very glad you're back!

Steve I look forward to seeing you the next time SNC comes down south. I love it that someone from Evansville (my hometown) is in my favorite music group. 12 days was the first SNC song I heard when Joe Blair played it on the radio. When I got to work at USI, I found it on YouTube and then shared it with all of my friends. Welcome to the group I can't wait to see you guys.

Well, I've come to enjoy SNC just in the last few months, so you're new to me. But I'm glad it's you, because anyone coming in to take Ryan's spot has got a challenge before them... But, you know the ropes! I'm hoping you guys will come to Dallas this spring, so I can hear and see you all!
