Did you drop Facebook? I cannot see your FB page or send you a private message? Just curious.

S. Brandon's picture

Sorry, Lynnette, I don't get here that often, but obviously we have this squared away now. :-)

GML's picture

Hi Ess! Hope all is well with you! Sorry you missed the Face Book notice Lynnette posted. about the radio show/vote results! (especiallly after you told us about the vote!!) With so much activity on there lately, it was easy to miss. If you like, I could DM you about it, if I see her post again? (Just tell me how to find you there, OK?)

Ugh- that stinks about the insurance stuff. Hope it gets straightened out soon. Maybe you could watch some fun SNC videos while you're on hold waiting for the insurance rep.

EileenR's picture

Definitely get over to that discussion thread- it's a lot of fun looking at everyone's comments, seeing funny stuff I hadn't seen before + revisiting old faves!

waterfallprincess's picture

S, when you search the WFYI site listings, type "Straight No Chaser" with the quotes to narrow down the results. It brings up only the exact match. (Works for Google, too.)

Thought I'd come by and say hey....

The adventures of Chip and Cookie!

I think we have a winner!
Now, if we could only get you to FINALLY join Twitter, we'd be official.

I sense the birthing of a very lucrative relationship. You bake, I'll market. When can be the spice Girls. No? Chilli Vanilly? No? Okay, then I got nothin'.

Tina Gaston's picture

HA HA! If only I could bake cookies at the astonishing rate you do, THEN we'd REALLY be cookin'. No pun intended.

Tina Gaston's picture

In other news, I just realized that we are twins! How do I know, look at your profile. I too live in the United States of America! What a COINKYDINK! (^_-)

I seee, because in my place, 10 years before, it snowed so much in February, but these days, it has snowed few times.

In this season, its little dry and cold. But sometimes the wether has changed to humid and hot. Most leaves are stilll green. I prefer dry and cool place and white christmas!

I think your dad would loved it in St Andrews because it is a lovely town and beautiful golf courses. I used to go to St Andrews on day trips as a youngster and I loved it. I think the golfers in SNC would love St Andrews.

Hi, S! I like old music, so much. So I like SNC's The big band, its great show! But I like modern good music so both "Defying Gravity" are ok for me. :)

winnie's picture

Hi! Yea, "Shall We Dance" is the film by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers! I like "Top Hat", too! I like classical musical and I like "Defying Gravity", too. I see I need to cut back on sweets, but sweets has something magiical. XD

DottieK's picture

Maybe someone needs to start a discussion thread...lol RE COTM tickets... :)

DottieK's picture

Comped COTM tickets or just one free ticket would be AMAZING. Not that I'm asking. But it would be *really* nice. :)

Guest 541827 shows up in the chatroom now. Is that you?

GML's picture

Hi S.! Was gonna stop by just to say 'Hi" when I saw your post about the chatroom! How did you finally get out? or did you? (I didn't see any posts from you on there? Did you see mine to you? I'm so glad Dottie started that on Opening Night and Wednesdays. I enjoyed it and getting to know some Chasers a little! Remember when we were trying to figure that room out?!

Lauren_8's picture

Yes, Dave explained it. Thanks for asking!! Has he explained it to you?

GML's picture

Hi S.! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I can't thank you enough (can you tell?)!!! I went to the upper bar and clicked on page and then zoom and set that for 250% and it worked out perfectly! Thanks again, and may the big man upstairs bless you for your kindness!

GML's picture

Hi S. How are you doing these days? I have a question for you: I tried to view Quarter Notes and enlarged it twice (once on the upper bar and the zoom in on the Quarter Notes, but I still can't read it! What can I do? Plus, when I zoom in it cuts the right part off and there is no bar to move it over!!

Still computerally challenged!!! Thanks!

jillyj98's picture

Did you know that I can't see anything you put on FB or twitter?? what's up with that??

DottieK's picture

A real pig would be ok. I love bacon. :p

DottieK's picture

Maybe you could send me a sock monkey riding backwards on a pig....

DottieK's picture

Thank you, Ess! Everyone can go ahead & keep their socks *on* however...hahaha

Gotcha...I know what gray day after gray day can do the spirits.
Just got home from the two First Communion Masses where I work. The whole experience went off pretty well, I think. Now it's on to vacation bible school then, well, I don't know yet.
How is life for you these days? Let me know what's going on with you. Take care!

Judy d's picture

Hi there,
Just saw your message on Facebook and I'm concerned...are you ok?

SingForMe's picture

Aaaaww....I just saw your comment under the Fall Tour!! Maybe one day! :)

S -

PMP = Project Management Professional. The certification involves showing you have worked in the field, have training, a recommendation, and a 4 hour exam. I want to do 2 of those by August. Fun fun.

Glad to hear you didn't get hit by the recent storms. It's been rough for a lot of people.

What have you been up to lately?

-the redhead-

-the redhead-'s picture

S -

I've been pretty busy over the last few months. Lots of training & gaining some certifications. I'm trying to do 2 this summer - the PMP and another that is the same level in my field of expertise.

I'm not anywhere near the bad weather, thanks goodness. The worst we've experiences was that it snowed last Saturday morning.

How's stuff with you?

-the redhead-

xmanderrrrx's picture

Thanks for your kind words. I completely understand being on a tight budget these days!

Judy d's picture

Hi again...seems like forever since I talked with you! This whole thing with my job hit me harder than I thought, and I've been laying low for awhile. But I want to come back to the land of the living.
On my end, life is not much more weird than usual. I did have a great Saturday of cupcake tasting with my son, future daughter-in-law and her parents. What a great excuse to pig out!!! This Friday I'm going to see a granddaughter in "Sound of Music" at her middle school. She's the one who wins second prize (I think) at the music festival and bows to everyone in sight. Fits her perfectly!!!
Tell me about you - what's going on?

Judy d's picture

Oh no! I can picture it too...
But you're being so nice to care about the person who hit the van - wow!

Gotta run to choir (really I'm taking the car but don't tell anyone!) I write a little later...

GML's picture

Thanks S.! I never thought about the enter key! But now how did you get out of it? Do you know what embedded means?

GML's picture

It is on the community home page on the right, and says "mebo room" . It also says it is embedded, but I don't know what that means!! I've seen something on my email page this time that says chat?!!

GML's picture

Hey S.!! I've seen the chat room but there nevver seems to be much going on there. (same conversation for weeks on end!) and I tried to use it - unsuccessfully! Do you know how to use it? If so, and it is not too hard to explain, could you tell me?

Judy d's picture

Hi there! I can't believe it..."What's Up Doc?", DRE-ing and now Muppets. I've been a Muppet fan since before Sesame Street when Jim Henson would do milk commercials with a very early Kermit the Frog. I love Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker, and I have to add Animal to the mix...he's my kind of guy!!!
Sent in a resume for another job today - yes, another DRE job. It's closer to home and I've heard good things about the place. We'll see. Hope all is going well for you!

GML's picture

Just wanted to say thank you for answering my question re: blog research!

GML's picture

Hi S.! I have a question for you...(what is new?) No, that is not it! My question has to do with Blog research!! Do you have to go back a few pages at a time or is there a way to go back by dates? Or should I be asking the Webcrew this?
Thank You!

GML's picture

Hi S. How are you doing? I absolutely love, love up on the roof!! I don't know about the cd, but its on the dvd from PBS with Dan P. singing it! It was one my favorites back "in-the-day" and I loved Dan doing it and SNC's version!! That's when I first noticed DR. but I'll save that for his love thread! ( I got it in the Christmas 3 piece set.)
I also loved how they moved on that song and the whole dvd/PBS Special!)

If they did the Beethoven's fifth, up on the roof or any of their remakes would fit right in, cause to me Beethoven's fifth is such a classic re-do (what is a more appropriate term for what they do?) and any song they take and put their spin on would be appropriate for that cd, which is all of them!!!

GML's picture

Loved your idea for the fifth! If they don't use that idea how about "pass the fifth" for the next cd?
whadayathink? (and don't say one at a time, "cause I already have ideas for the "best of SNC")!!

Judy d's picture

Wow! I hope I didn't sound like a bozo when talking about work. Didn't know you were a "recovering DRE" - hope I didn't sound condescending!! Sorry if I did...(love means never having to say you're sorry)
Obviously there is life after DRE-dom. You did it. After 10 years and 4 parishes, gotta admit I'm questioning the whole thing some days, feeling totally committed to it on other days, and teaching myself to say "would you like fries with that?" on still other ones.
Gee, maybe I meant "First Penance" ;)

Judy d's picture

You asked about the church job thing...I went back to school after a LOT of years and got my master of arts in pastoral studies. That's pretty much theology plus practice in various settings (health care, administration, etc.) As someone who always wanted to teach, working with little ones seemed like a good way to go so I became a director of religious education; I'm in charge of the Sunday school, vacation bible school, and preparation for first confession and communion for the parish. I also work with the parents and train the volunteers. My big "thing" is that we can't command people to do church, etc. Hopefully, we attract by the way we live and love. And God's got a great sense of humor! that's important. Sorry about theology 101 - I get a little carried away.

I heard about "Hugh" as well. I don't have the movie now but I have to track it down.

For some reason I'm still up in the middle of the night again. I feel like I just went down a flight of stairs in the VW. night-night

Judy d's picture

I think I know what you mean about church-as-employer. My experiences haven't been all that great either. Usually the work is good, but the bosses aren't. Sometimes I wish I was good at something that would make me rich, but I'd just spend it anyway.

By the way, what's a Eunice?
